Guideline

Most festivals takes place in the pristine bush settings. Please help by observing the guidelines below. They are there so we can all maximise our fun with respect to others and the land we party on.

Event Admittance

All events are ticketed events unless otherwise stated. You can only enter an event with a valid ticket.

Pets ESPECIALLY Dogs

All events have a no pets rule. In particular NO DOGS. All festivals are family friendly and there are children that run free. Children and Dogs running free do not mix. Give you dog a holiday with a good friend instead.

Generators

Please do not operate generators outside designated performance/market areas. Please be quiet and considerate of others in the campground especially during the night. The camping areas are for chilling out, sleep and peace.

Renegade Sound Systems

Most events have a no renegade sound system policy except for Particles of Space (VIC)

Glass

GLASS is not permitted on site.

Rubbish

First remove all excess packaging, buy in bulk and communally, then plan to take everything off the site that you bought on. Each festival values it’s committment to the environment, help instead of hinder and take all rubbish with you when you leave.

Cigarette Butts are a real pain to remove from a site, please put all cigie butts in a container

Fire Bans

It is the summer of Australia and as such most festivals occur during FIRE BAN periods. Generally there will be no fires permitted on the site. Please bring cooking stoves for your campsite.

Driving on Sites

There is enough driving just getting to the festivalls. Most festivals have a policy of parking your car and leaving it. There should be no driving around the site once you have set up camp. All site are designed for pedestrians and bicycles. There is a 20KPH speed limit at all festivals.

Soap and Shampoos

Please protect all natural waterways and use only the showers and sinks provided for washing if you want to use soap or shampoos.

Water

Australia is currently experiencing a grought and nearly all festivals are in a dry areas. Bring your own water if you can, and drink only from designated DRINKING WATER TAPS.

DRINK LOTS OF IT. Dehydration is one of the leading causes of event non-enjoyment syndrome. Drink up. All events provide drinking water. Drink more than you would normally.

You can never carry enough water in Australia and it has to be the most expensive excesses in a travellers budget especially given the general quality of water across Australia. Always travel with at least 2 5 Litres, this is like your fuel, the longer your range between fill-ups the more opportunities there are to fill up without resorting to buying corpwater.

This will also save our environment the cost of recycling numerous plastic bottles or picking up those so carelessly discarded.

Sun Protection

Bring sunscreen and sunhat, and cover up during the height of the heat.

Mobile Phones

MOBILE PHONES generally do not work at the festival sites.

Things to Bring

a hat, a torch, insect repellents, musical instruments.
